Always go

I rode my bike for 2:30 this morning and covered 41 miles.

That's one more mile than last week! I almost didn't go.

I actually turned my alarm clock off during the night because I felt like I was getting sick and wasn't sleeping well. But George slept all night until just before 5:30 which was when I wanted to leave. So I fed him then figured I might as well go since I was up. I knew I wouldn't regret it even if I wasn't feeling 100%. I figured I could take it easy if I wanted to, or cut it short if I started feeling sick. Turns out I felt great and had a really nice ride. I'm so glad I went.

Thank you George!

Moral of this story: always go for your workout (unless you really are sick or hurt), even if you don't want to. You won't regret it.

  1. So true! I almost skipped my brick run yesterday and it turned out to be a great run! Isn't it funny how that works?

  2. Yes, yes, and YES! A wise friend once said to me "the only thing you will regret about your workout come lunchtime is not having gotten out of bed to do it!"
