Run #6 ALL with Bioms

This morning I woke up at 5:30 with my calf cramping. I just rubbed it for a little while and it went away. While I was awake, I thought, "I could just get up and run now." But then I couldn't think of a reason why I needed to do an early run today so I just went back to bed and enjoyed a nice leisurely morning since the kids didn't have school!

We had breakfast, everyone got dressed, then I got the kids in the car to go to the gym. It was at this time that my brother-in-law called me to tell me they were coming at 10:30 instead of 9:30 to drop their little boy off. Oh yeah, that's why I was going to do an early run this morning! I had completely forgotten so it was a good thing he called! Luckily I still had time to do my run and get home before 10:30 so it all worked out! The kids had a blast playing with their little cousin, and he was so good too!

I just needed to run 4 miles with hills today so I decided I was ready to do the whole run with my Bioms! I was so excited for this because it's kind of annoying to have to change shoes in the middle of your workout.

Total Distance: 4 Miles
Total Time: 40:30
Total Uphill Time: 5 min. @ at least 7% grade

I really didn't get any more sore than usual and I actually felt natural and had a good run! The uphill was hard, but that's to be expected. I stretched good before coming home, and rubbed my legs a little when I got out of the shower, but other than that I haven't done anything special and my legs are only a tiny bit sore. That could still be from Saturday too.

  2. Just saw your comment on Jonathon Marathon Man's blog and thought I'd let you know that I have just started the first chapter of Train 4 Autism here in Utah County. I'm so excited that you will be running for Operation Jack at the Utah Valley Marathon! I will be there representing Train 4 Autism but will not be running because I'm running the Ragnar the next weekend. Anyway, if you are interested in getting involved with our chapter, let me know! Meanwhile check out our facebook page @
