Help Me Help You

Glancing back over my last few posts is really overwhelming. Why didn't you guys tell me my posts are so ridiculously long? All of them! I'm going to try and condense my thoughts a little better from now on, and be a little less specific and rambly about each individual workout. Seriously, does anybody really care what I was thinking about at mile 3 on my run yesterday? Should I even tell you about my workouts at all if I've got other things on my mind?

Of course, if you like the detailed accounts I give of every single thing, I'll be happy to keep it up. :)

I have a really hard time expressing myself, and I'd like to do some more theme-based posts. This leads me to some questions for you:

  • Which of my posts have been your favorites?
  • Is there anything you'd like to know about my training or just me in general? If so, please ask away!
  • Do you have any basic triathlon questions you'd like to ask me?
  • What topics would you like to read about?
  • How can I get people to comment more? (haha)

Pretty much give me any feedback you have. I'd love to hear from each of you, and I could really use some tips to help make this blog better. Thanks!

Foot update: Today was a swim/trainer ride day, and I was a lot more careful with my foot. I kept it wrapped up all day, and tried not to walk around on it at all unless I had it wrapped up and shoes on. I also iced it several times whenever I had the chance. It's been feeling really good so I'm thinking one more day of this treatment, and I should be good to go for the 5k on Saturday! I'm excited for my first race of the season!

  1. I like your blog the way it is. Personally, I like knowing your thoughts on different miles of your runs. I like knowing that sometimes you aren't motivated to get out and exercise. I like how you eat junk food! To me, the way your blog is--it's real. Also, I'm having second thoughts about the race on Saturday. I recently discovered I'm expecting with my first and I'm 35-years-old. It seemed all of a sudden my legs just don't run anymore. Maybe I'll come and walk.....

  2. I think your blog is for you. You should write as much or as little as you want. We wouldn't read if we didn't enjoy hearing about you!

  3. I can only hope that I am half the athlete you are someday! An Ironman - what a dream! I'd love to learn how you trained for it, and specifically, what you did to prepare for the training. Did you do triathlons before or just train for it. How long did you train for?

P.S. This blog is for YOU! One of the things I love most about blogging is being able to look back at it like your life journal. Enjoy it for what it is.

  4. Blogging should be whatever you want it to be! One of my favorite parts about blogging is looking back at it...it's your life journal...it's for YOU!

I would love to hear how you trained for the Ironman, how long it took, and how did you prepare for the training?
